Luke & Sara from High Grange will be bringing a fat slice of their smoky outdoor-cooked food to Strawberry Tree on Friday 2nd February with a delicious rustic set-menu. Luke has created three dishes that nod towards our Spanish roots, married with unequivocal High Grange style. We will also be offering this menu as a takeaway option on the night (pre-book).

For our part, we will be topping and tailing the menu with a tapa and a petit four and of course offering some fabulous Spanish wines and drinks. Lastly, there will be an added Galician touch with a traditional 'queimada' - a Celtic tradition from north-west Spain that is part pagan ritual; part lament for absent friends. The ritual involves an alcoholic punch made from a Galician aguardiente flavoured with coffee beans, cinnamon and lemon peel - then set alight while a special incantation is read. Come and share this special night with us and discover what happens when you cross High Grange food with Strawberry Tree hospitality...

Dine-in Menu - £45

About High Grange

High Grange is a family-run business in the rolling hills of East Devon, run by Sara and husband Luke, a chef and wine merchant with over 20 years experience of cooking and teaching.

High Grange is a rural retreat with fine dining over fire. A multi award-winning outdoor cookery school complete with fire pits, pizza oven, Vulcanus and every type of Kamado Joe. They serve hyper-local and seasonal food both from the HG garden and fantastic local suppliers.

The signature Feast nights take place in their magical outdoor woodland dining area and guests are encouraged to enjoy the grounds.

During colder months feasts take place inside a cosy Shippen outbuilding. This tranquil space is home to wellness events and classes including yoga, massage, sound baths and breathwork, ad hoc creative masterclasses covering everything from dried flower arranging to growing your own vegetables.

Take a look at their roster of Feasts, special events and Fire School days. They also offer private dining and away days.
