Entertaining, informative, delicious.  Join us for some freestyle conversation and cookery demo with the wonderful Maggie Richardson - traditional baker, columnist and 'GBBO' contestant.

Come and spend the morning in the company of Maggie 'The Seaside Baker' Richardson, and Strawberry Tree co-founder and head chef, Giselle Benrimoj, as Giselle chats to Maggie and delves into her love of baking, her writing and her life story. Expect to be transported to the Great British Bake-Off studios as Maggie relives some of her GBBO journey and gives us a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the big tent...

Maggie Richardson, a traditional baker, was a contestant on the Great British Bake Off in 2021. Whilst she is happy to attempt any baking challenge her particular interests are bread, pastry and patisserie. She writes a monthly column in Dorset Magazine and is a member of the Guild of Food Writers. She loves to chat about baking, the Bake Off and all things connected!

So pull up a seat and join us - who knows where the conversation will take us? What we do know is that it will be light-hearted and we will be enlivened, nourished and entertained as we're brought back to the heart of what good food is all about - connection and joy.

Experience

11.15am – Arrival and intro.

11.30pm - 12.15pm Morning Session I

Grab a front-row seat for Maggie and Giselle as they take a freestyling dive into Maggie's life while she demonstrates one of her favourite icing recipes and shares some top baking tips. And of course, sample the end results!

12.30pm - 1.15pm Morning Session II

After the break, enjoy a glass of wine and settle back as Maggie and Giselle make some beautiful mini banoffee tartlets and we enjoy more anecdotes from Maggie's time on GBBO. Ask her the questions you always wanted to know - is Prue Leith as lovely as she seems? How do you keep GBBO secret from your friends during filming? Who eats the cakes after each show? And how exactly did she get the call-up for the New Year's special shown at the start of 2024...?

1.30pm End - Book a table and stay on for lunch...
